OUR STORY
The Seren Philosophy
Twenty years of expertise. A lifetime of lived experience.
No diagnosis required: We believe support should be accessible based on your experience, not a piece of paper or a formal assessment. Sustainable results, not quick fixes: Our goal is to build long-term frameworks that empower you for years, rather than providing temporary sticking plasters. Meets you where you are: We offer a non-judgmental space that adapts to your energy, needs, and specific starting point.
Whole life before work: We understand that workplace strategies only succeed when the person’s entire well-being is prioritised first. Lived experience plus professional expertise: Our support is uniquely informed by 20 years of sector knowledge and first-hand neurodivergent insight.
"Work strategies only stick when the whole person is understood first."

Questions we hear most often
Do I need a formal diagnosis to work with Seren?
No. Seren works with formally diagnosed, self-identified and everyone in between. A diagnosis does not define whether you would benefit from support or whether your organisation has a duty to support its neurodivergent employees. You do not need a piece of paper to deserve support, and neither do your team members.
Is support available online or in person?
Both. The majority of Seren support and training is delivered online via video call, making it accessible to individuals and organisations anywhere in the UK. Online delivery is equally effective and removes barriers around travel, sensory demands and scheduling, all of which matter for neurodivergent adults and busy teams. In-person sessions and on-site training are also available. We will confirm what works best for you at the discovery call.
What makes Seren different from other neurodiversity supporters and consultants?
Two things. First, the combination of professional expertise and lived experience. Emma holds an MSc in Psychology, has over 20 years designing national neurodiversity employment programmes, training HR teams, providing support to neurodivergent employees and is herself late-identified ADHD. Second, the whole-life approach, Seren starts with the whole person before addressing workplace accommodations, because strategies built without that foundation rarely last.Â
What is the free discovery call and what happens next?
The free 30-minute call is a conversation, not a sales pitch. For individuals, Emma will take time to understand your situation, explain how Seren works and discuss whether support feels like the right fit. For organisations, she will explore your current challenges, your workforce, and what a Seren engagement could look like for your team. There is absolutely no obligation to proceed. If Seren is not the right fit, Emma will say so and point you in the right direction. We aim to respond to all enquiries within one working day.
Can my employer fund neurodiversity support through Access to Work?
Yes, neurodiversity support may be funded through the government's Access to Work scheme if you are in employment. Access to Work typically funds 12 support sessions, extendable to 24, Your employer does not need to fund it directly and you do not need to ask your employer's permission to apply. A formal diagnosis is not always required, evidence of how your neurodivergent condition affects your ability to work is usually sufficient. We are happy to discuss this at your free discovery call and can provide supporting documentation to help with your application.
